Have you ever wanted to play Paddle Tennis but can only find a pickleball court in your area,do not fret it’s very easy with a few minor adjustments you can easily play Paddle Tennis on the slightly smaller court of pickleball.
Pickleball and Paddle Tennis are very similar paddle sports and with 15000 courts now in the USA alone not to mention the global growth it has seen it now much easier to find a court to play Paddle Tennis on,and we think many Pickleball players would like the opportunity to play a new sport like Paddle Tennis.
It’s important to realize that using the right equipment is key in making the smaller court work for Paddle Tennis, we must use the thinner beamed less powerful paddles that can keep the Orange dot slightly softer low pressure Tennis Balll in the confines of the pickleball court..
We currently recommend no paddle thicker than 14mm or .75 inches thick,as these style paddles are about control not power and keep the ball in play.We also recommend using the the slightly softer Orange dot already deflated Tennis Ball easily purchased in tennis shops, sporting goods outlets and online.Normally a regular standard Deflated Tennis Ball is used in normal Paddle tennis but the slightly softer Orange Dot ball is just slower enough to keep it on play also on the smaller pickleball courts. So the 2 equipment changes you will need to make is the Thinner Beamed Old School graphite paddles and the slightly softer Orange Dot Tennis ball.
